Tasks
- Take clean linen off carts and put soiled linen onto trailers.
- Deliver clean linen carts to patient areas and clinics. Collect soiled linen bags, place them on carts, and send them back to the laundry service.
- Count any unused linen from the previous day and update the linen orders to meet the required stock levels.
- Fill any specific requests for additional linen types.
- Use industrial machines to wash, dry, and fold scrubs, curtains, slings, and similar items.
- Replenish the Scrubex machines with clean scrubs and gather used ones for washing.
- Clean and sanitize equipment using bleach and other disinfectants as per the given instructions, making sure to wear the necessary safety gear.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- You must be able to finish a tow motor training course and get a license to move linen carts safely.
- Ability to be on feet (standing and walking) for long periods of time
- The ability to push or pull carts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Basic math skills, such as addition and subtraction.
- The job is physically demanding and will involve pushing, pulling, and maneuvering heavy linen carts (up to 50 pounds) and operating a tow motor safely.
