- Accurately pick, pack, and process orders for timely shipment. Pick customer orders for shipment and ensure accuracy by picking the correct number and type of product.
- Compare internal orders with packing lists. Verifying/Receiving/inspecting and signing for shipment and courier deliveries. Unpack, inspect, sort and put stock away in appropriatelocations.
- Load and unload trailers and operate material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jacks.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts, maintain and organize inventory, ensure stock is in thecorrect location while keeping the warehouse clean and safe.
- Communicate with the Supervisor regarding low stock items, and document and reportany damage or deficiencies immediately.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE and always adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain safety compliance when operating material handling equipment, perform daily inspection of forklift prior to use, and report any unsafe work conditions that may arise.
- Complete other warehouse duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience that provides working knowledge ofdistribution activities.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in warehouse/distribution and/or customer service-relatedactivities.
- Forklift certification is an asset (the employer is willing to train the right candidate)
- Strong team player with excellent communication and customer service skills wheninteracting with customers and personnel.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervisionin a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Stamina – able to lift heavy items (more than 50lbs) for extended periods andperform repetitive physical work, including bending, lifting & reaching.
- Punctual, dependable, and possess an excellent work ethic and a positive attitude. Attention to detail is essential for accurately identifying and handling items, descriptionsand quantities.
